Co-Founder
Dr. Anand Mandal serves as Co-Founder of Unique Tech Solution, bringing extensive expertise in financial technology, digital finance, and strategic business development. With a distinguished academic and professional background, Dr. Mandal provides critical oversight and strategic direction for UTS's portfolio of technology ventures.
His deep understanding of financial markets, blockchain technology, and digital transformation enables UTS to identify emerging opportunities while maintaining rigorous risk management. Dr. Mandal's expertise spans quantitative finance, fintech innovation, and strategic investments, making him instrumental in guiding UTS's investment decisions and partnership strategy.
With a PhD in Finance specializing in Digital Finance and Blockchain, Dr. Mandal has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and presented at international conferences. His research focuses on the intersection of traditional finance and emerging technologies, particularly in areas of cryptocurrency, decentralized finance, and digital asset management.
Beyond his role at UTS, Dr. Mandal has contributed to multiple fintech startups and advised organisations on digital transformation strategies. His academic background combined with hands-on industry experience allows him to bridge theoretical frameworks with practical implementation, ensuring UTS solutions are both innovative and commercially viable.
At the University of Birmingham's Department of Finance, Dr. Mandal serves as Associate Professor in Finance, Scotcoin Distinguished Chair of Digital Finance, and Programme Director for the MBA (Distance Learning). Dr. Mandal operates at the intersection of academia and industry. This dual perspective enables him to identify emerging opportunities while understanding the practical constraints organisations face.
Dr Sharzad Madjlesi

Dr. Sharzad Madjlesi is the Co-Founder and CEO of Unique Tech Solution, where she leads the company's vision to democratise access to transformative AI and technology solutions. Her journey from academic research to entrepreneurship reflects a deep commitment to making cutting-edge technology accessible, ethical, and secure.
With a PhD in Financial Technology, Dr. Sharzad's career has been defined by translating complex technical capabilities into solutions that serve real human needs. She recognised early that the gap between AI research and practical implementation was leaving many organisations particularly in education and small business unable to benefit from technological advances. This insight became the foundation of UTS.
Under Dr. Sharzad's leadership, UTS has grown from a single concept to a strategic holding company managing four distinct business units: MySmartTeach (AI for education), Tennerpages (accessible web development), UTS Training Academy (professional upskilling), and Private AI Solutions (enterprise infrastructure). Each venture reflects her commitment to responsible innovation and measurable impact.
Her leadership philosophy centres on responsible innovation. Whether addressing challenges in education, business infrastructure, professional development, or enterprise AI, Dr. Sharzad ensures that every UTS solution prioritises user privacy, regulatory compliance, and measurable impact. She believes technology companies have an obligation not just to innovate, but to innovate responsibly.
Dr. Sharzad's expertise encompasses machine learning systems, digital transformation strategy, educational technology, and fintech innovation. She holds a PhD in Financial Technology and has worked extensively in both academic and commercial settings, giving her a unique perspective on building solutions that are both technically sound and commercially viable.
Mr Mehran Gharooni
Chief Technology Officer
Mehran Gharooni serves as Chief Technology Officer at Unique Tech Solution, responsible for the technical architecture, AI research, and production systems that power all UTS business units. His role bridges advanced machine learning research with practical software engineering, ensuring UTS solutions are both cutting-edge and reliable.
Mehran's technical expertise spans the full AI/ML stack: from training large language models and fine-tuning transformer architectures, to building secure production infrastructure that handles hundreds of daily users. He designed and implemented the private AI deployment systems used by University of Nottingham Malaysia, delivering enterprise-grade AI without compromising data security.
At MySmartTeach, Mehran developed the patent-pending AI consensus system that dramatically improves assessment marking accuracy while reducing teacher workload by 40%. This innovation combines multiple AI models to achieve human-level reliability, a breakthrough that makes automated marking trustworthy enough for real classroom use.
His work combines academic rigour with practical engineering excellence, delivering AI systems that are both cutting-edge and reliable. Mehran's research has been published in technical conferences, and his production systems serve hundreds of users across educational and enterprise environments.
