Delta Offshore Technology was entrusted with the crucial task of backfilling the trench route for the pipelines, a key operation to stabilize and protect these pipelines after installation. This project highlights Delta’s commitment to ensuring the long-term integrity and safety of offshore infrastructure, while meeting both technical specifications and environmental requirements. With a strong focus on precision, environmental compliance, and operational efficiency, this project exemplifies Delta Offshore Technology’s expertise in complex offshore pipeline operations.

Project Overview

Project Overview

Commissioned by IOEC, the South Pars Phase 12 project aims to produce gas and condensate for export, representing a critical component of the region's energy infrastructure. The offshore section is located approximately 100 kilometers offshore in the Persian Gulf at a water depth of around 70 meters and includes the development of:

  • Three identical 15-slot wellhead platforms (SPD 14/15/16).
  • Three 32-inch sealines, each designed to transport 3 x 1,000 MMSCFD of saturated gas and condensate to the onshore gas treatment plant in Tombak.
  • A 4.5-inch piggyback line attached to each sealine for transporting lean MEG (mono ethylene glycol) from onshore facilities to the wellhead platforms.
  • A 30-inch export pipeline connecting the onshore plant to a Single Point Mooring (SPM) system nearshore for the export of condensate (NGL).

Delta Offshore Technology was tasked with the critical backfilling operations required to stabilize and protect these pipelines following installation.
