Commissioned by Petropars Iran (PPI) to support the onshore cooling facilities for South Pars Gas Field Development, Phase 19, Delta Offshore Technology successfully executed the design, engineering, procurement, construction, and installation of the marine pipeline system for the seawater intake. Located south of Iran, east of Kangan Port, the seawater intake system is essential for supplying cooling water to the onshore facilities.

The system includes two 1,200-meter-long, 2-meter diameter HDPE pipelines for seawater intake and a 200-meter-long HDPE outfall pipe for the return of warmed discharge water to the sea.

    • Providing ballasting weights by injecting grout into core-tube pipes inside the HDPE pipelines, similar to the South Pars Phase 12 seawater intake system.
